A small open space adjacent to Stockwell Underground Station, which is home to series of memorials and murals dedicated to the lives of many Lambeth residents. Originally laid out in 1920, the site's focal point is a superb white stone memorial dedicated to those who gave their lives fighting during the First World War of 1914-18.
It also contains a mural, painted on a ventilation house and unveiled in 2001, which commemorates the famous war heroine and local resident Violette Szabó, GC, as well as the many other Stockwell residents who died in the Second World War.
